While there is great emphasis from government on the funding and
restructuring of the health care system, more emphasis is needed on the
socio-economic determinants of health. Social and economically
disadvantaged people have less access to health resources, they are
less healthy and they die earlier than people in more privileged
socio-economic positions. The Conference Board of Canada has created a
new network that will allow key stakeholders to gather together and
share challenges but also offer solutions to these issues. To receive
