One full-time contract position (15 months)
Description of the Position
Reporting to the Director, Programs and Services, you will be
responsible for managing the annual national Safe Kids Week
program. This position requires a skilled project manager with
thorough knowledge of health promotion programming. The primary
function of the position is to provide overall project management for
the multifaceted Safe Kids Week program which will focus on drowning in
2007. You will develop, monitor and evaluate Safe Kids
Week. Conducting research, seeking expert advice, analyse
surveys, liaising with key players in the injury prevention field.
The successful candidate will have a post secondary graduate degree in
Health Promotions or Communications with five years experience in a
related field or an equivalent combination of education and
experience. Excellent project planning skills. Experience
in health promotion, community development, prevention-oriented
research. Proficiency in a Windows. Demonstrated ability to
work with diverse populations. Some travel required. The ability
to work in both official languages preferred.
