Increasing Trail Use--Call for Best Practices

Have you had success getting people out and active on trails?
Hike Ontario is conducting research to identify best practices for
increasing trail use by walkers and hikers. Of particular interest are
practices that motivate children, youth, women, girls, older adults,
low-income families, people with disabilities, and visible/ethnic
minorities.

If you are involved with an activity, program or initiative that
results or could result in more people on trails, please contact Yours
Outdoors at (705) 754-3436 or barrie.martin@sympatico.ca before
August 4, 2006.

The research and the development of a best practices manual is funded
by the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion's Trails for Life program.
