A challenging opportunity exists with the Ministry of Health Promotion,
Chronic Disease Prevention & Health Promotion Branch to: provide
health-promotion expertise for planning/ developing public-health
policies, programs, services aimed at reducing burden of illness from
chronic diseases; develop/ manage health-promotion service contracts;
provide options/ advice on funding proposals; guide/ monitor program
implementation/ evaluation; act as primary resource/ contact with
community stakeholders, working groups, including volunteers, providing
advice/ direction; research information; assist with program
strategic-planning processes.  

Location: 393 University Avenue

Qualifications:  Strong project-management skills; Demonstrated
analytical, evaluation, problem solving, leadership, administrative
skills; in-depth knowledge of  health-promotion theories and
strategies, delivery of health promotion/ prevention programs,
Ontario's health system,  community development principles;
ability to coordinate concurrent projects; excellent judgment, ability
to plan/ organize work to meet deadlines; excellent communication,
negotiation skills in working with external stakeholders; knowledge of
Microsoft software, e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
