Tobacco Control Manager, Environmental Health and Chronic Disease Prevention Services, Middlesex-London Health Unit

Reporting to the Director of Environmental Health and Chronic Disease
Prevention Services, the successful candidate provides leadership to a
team that delivers a wide range of prevention, protection and cessation
programs and services under the Smoke-Free Ontario Strategy. Programs
include the promotion and enforcement of the Smoke Free Ontario Act,
smoking cessation services, and peer-led youth programs under the Youth
Action Alliance. The Tobacco Control Manager also collaborates with the
Southwest Tobacco Control Area Network Manager and TCAN Youth
Development Specialist, and counterparts at eight other Health Units in
Southwestern Ontario.

Candidates should have a Masters degree in Health Sciences or a related
field, experience working in public health as a Public Health Nurse,
Public Health Inspector, or Health Promotion Specialist and appropriate
professional certification.  Extensive knowledge of tobacco use
legislation, policies and programs is desirable. Previous work with
youth would also be an advantage. The ability to communicate in French
or other languages would be considered an asset.  Please see
