Initial Assignment: Rainbow Services, Addictions Program

Position Description

The Addictions Program is currently recruiting a Manager for the
Rainbow Outpatient Service. Reporting to the Administrative and
Clinical Directors, the Manager will work to ensure that excellence in
client care is achieved in this outpatient service located primarily at
the 33 Russell Street Site with additional responsibilities at the
Brentcliffe Road Site. This role provides clinical leadership for
service provision and links with the gay, lesbian, bisexual,
trans-gendered and transsexual (LGBTT) communities. In addition to
operational tasks such as budgeting and human resource management, the
successful candidate will also be responsible for leading and
implementing continuous quality improvement and program development
initiatives and will participate in Centre initiatives. Research,
recruitment, orientation and education/training of staff, development
and adherence to Centre policies and procedures and effective budgetary
and resource management are critical components of this role.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Nursing,
Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline, with at least 5 years
of management experience in the addictions field, or have an equivalent
combination of education and experiences in a related field. The
successful candidate will have lived experience from within the LGBTT
community and will also demonstrate knowledge of addiction assessment
and treatment issues and specifically how these issues impact the LGBTT
population. The capacity to provide leadership to a multidisciplinary
team is required, as is the ability to lead change and direct research
opportunities. Strong understanding of issues related to anti
racism/diversity is required, as is the ability to work with internal
and external stakeholders to ensure excellence in patient care,
education and research. Excellent organization, communication and
interpersonal skills and high computer proficiency are necessary, along
with the ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment.
Bilingualism (English / French) is considered an asset.
