Public Health Dietitian, Huron County Health Unit

An exciting opportunity to mix a population health approach with individual practice

  • .5 FTE Huron County Health Unit
  • .5 FTE Clinton Family Health Team

Reporting to a Public Health Manager and provided with technical
supervision by a Public Health Nutritionist, the successful candidate
will provide leadership in planning, implementing and evaluating
nutrition education programs and services that promotes healthy eating
and healthy lifestyle.  The individual will also provide nutrition
consultation to Health Unit staff, community professionals and county
residents.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, in foods and nutrition or equivalent program
  • Current registration by the College of Dietitians of Ontario;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team with minimal supervision;
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; and;
  • Demonstrated counselling, group facilitation, education and community development skills.

Wage rate:  Under review plus full benefit package (OPSEU).
