News from the Health Promotion Clearinghouse

The Health Promotion Clearinghouse (HPC) is a resource system aimed at
supporting the work of volunteers and staff by providing timely access
to health promotion resources and expertise that exist in Nova Scotia
and beyond. In accordance to the principles of health promotion, the
HPC works with organizations and communities toward enabling people to
take control over their health and over the conditions that affect
it.  We would like to draw your attention to two opportunities
offered by the HPC at no cost.

(1) The HPC has an E-Bulletin that is sent out twice monthly. It
contains information on events in Atlantic Canada and beyond,
job/funding/volunteering opportunities, resources in the HPC library,
calls for papers/abstracts, and other useful health promotion
information.  To see the latest E-Bulletin, go to http://www.hpclearinghouse.ca and follow the link on the home page, where you can also automatically subscribe to the E-Bulletin.

(2) We are also stepping up our membership drive this fall and are
hoping that you will take a moment to consider joining our growing
community. There is no fee for becoming a member and joining takes only
a few minutes.
