RFP--Regional Needs Assessment of Infection Control Resources, North Simcoe Muskoka Infection Control Network

Purpose

There is a need for each Regional Infection Control Network to
ascertain the extent of current infection control resources (human,
material and knowledge) within their region through a needs assessment.
The results of the Regional Needs Assessment will identify current
strengths and gaps in infection prevention and control and will become
a critical component of the North Simcoe Muskoka Infection Control Network (NSMICN) Strategic Plan.

Primary objectives of this Needs Assessment include

  • Identification of strengths, weaknesses, gaps and opportunities currently existing in Infection Prevention and Control
  • Use current, quality data and subsequent report to guide the development of long term strategic planning for NSMICN
  • Provide a baseline of data for comparison over time

Assignment
 
In brief, the assignment for this project includes

  1. A review of four existing questionnaires currently designed to
    assess Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) personnel, formal
    instruction, professional development, medical support, IPAC Committee
    activities, access to information i.e. IPAC resources. The
    questionnaire is also intended to collect data concerning the
    interviewee's opinion on the most pressing IPAC gaps in their
    organization
  2. Distribution of questionnaire as indicated
  3. Analysis of the data collected
  4. Creation of a detailed report for the NSMICN

Timeline

  • Proposals are to be received at the NSMICN no later than December 14, 2006, at 12:00 p.m. via mail or courier.
  • Candidate selection will take place prior to, but no later than January 10, 2007
  • Analysis and Draft Report will be provided to NSMICN by April 2, 2007
  • Final Report will be received by the NSMICN on April 16, 2007

All correspondence, documentation and information provided by the North
Simcoe Muskoka Infection Control Network to any respondent in
connection with, or arising out of, this RFP and/or acceptance of any
Proposal(s)

  • Remains the property of the North Simcoe Muskoka Infection Control Network
  • Must be treated as confidential
  • Must not be used for any purpose other than
    replying to this RFP, and for fulfillment of any subsequent contracts
