Health Promoter, Brant County Health Unit

Regular Full-time

As an effective member of a multi-disciplinary team, you will plan,
implement, and evaluate population based health promotion activities
including policy development, mass media and communication campaigns,
community development and coalition building; liaise with community
partners and workplaces, and participate on formal and informal
committees and networks, and develop health information resources,
i.e., newsletters, brochures, displays.  

Education and Experience: a degree (Masters level preferred) in health
promotion, or a related discipline, knowledge and experience in the
areas of chronic disease prevention is an asset, complimented by
knowledge, skills and experience in project management, behaviour
change theory, and mass media communication. Demonstrated
effective written and verbal communication skills; analytical and
problem-solving skills, group facilitation skills; advanced computer
skills, and a current Ontario driver's license and use of a vehicle.

Hours of work: 70 hours in a 2-week period
Wage Range:  Competitive wages, $28.55-33.58/hour

Holidays: 10 paid public holidays
Vacation: 4 weeks/year plus 21 hours paid Personal Leave Time
