Assistant Professor, Department of Geography, Brock University

The Department of Geography at Brock University invites applications
for a probationary tenure-track appointment in social or cultural
geography with a public policy perspective. Knowledge of GIS and/or
quantitative techniques would be an advantage. 

The appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor, effective
July 1, 2007 and subject to final budgetary approval. 

A recently completed Ph.D. in Geography or a related discipline is
preferred, although applicants without a completed Ph.D. will be
considered for an appointment at the rank of Lecturer.  The
successful candidate will be expected to be engaged in independent
research and scholarly activity, to demonstrate teaching competency, to
supervise individual students, to participate in the affairs of the
department and to contribute to the department's human geography
program.

outlining teaching and research interests, curriculum vitae, three
confidential letters of reference, and two reprints/preprints of
