The persons filling this position will join our interdisciplinary, primary care/community health team. Our community is culturally diverse and we see clients and patients of all ages. In addition to possessing excellent clinical assessment skills, the Nurse Practitioner will be aware of the determinants of health and related issues affecting low-income communities. We provide excellent opportunities to apply all aspects of your scope of practice.
Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario, and, Extended Class License. Excellent group facilitation skills and experience working within a multidisciplinary team are required. Familiarity with personal computers is important. Fluency in a second language is a real asset, and a great sense of humour wouldn't hurt. Health promotion with community groups to identify and address health issues is essential.
