New Resource--Guide to Evaluation in Health Research, CIHR


The Guide to Evaluation in Health Research by Dr. Sarah Bowen, University of Alberta, was developed for researchers and reviewers who want to build their knowledge and skill in the area of evaluation of health and health research initiatives. The specific objectives of this CIHR online learning module are to: demonstrate the potential for evaluation to support evidence-informed action; support development of appropriate evaluation plans for research funding proposals, and; facilitate assessment of evaluation plans by peer and merit reviewers.

Call for Applications--Toronto Public Health 2012 Peer Leadership Grant for the Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes for Community Organizations in the City of Toronto

Toronto Public Health is pleased to announce a call for applications for the 2012 Peer Leadership Grant for the Prevention of Type 2 Diabetes. The grant provides up to a maximum of $5,000 and is open to community organizations in the City of Toronto, who want to provide culturally appropriate and accessible health education programs for the prevention of type 2 diabetes.

The goal of the 2012 Peer Leadership Grant is to provide peer led health education programs to adults at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
