Call for Exhibitors--Coming Together: Supporting the Whole Child, National Healthy Schools Conference

The Ontario Healthy Schools Coalition (OHSC) is pleased to share with you an invitation to our National Healthy Schools Conference – Coming Together: Supporting the Whole Child held April 9th and 10th at the Hilton Hotel and Conference Centre, London, Ontario.

The Conference theme focuses on whole health: how physical literacy, mental health, physical health, and emotional health are all interconnected and interdependent. We have six highly recognized national/international keynote speakers, and 45 break-out sessions – including student-led presentations.

Introducing the Accelerating Rural Transportation Solutions Project

Sections: 

Lack of transportation is a significant issue in all rural and remote communities in Ontario which affects most of the determinants of health. The Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition (OHCC) and the Rural Ontario Institute (ROI) are collaborating to enhance and strengthen the sharing of knowledge of effective models and emerging innovation in rural regional transportation. There are three main elements of the project:

Have you participated in an evaluation that made a difference in people’s lives or contributed to social betterment? Then we’d like to hear from you!

The Evaluation Stories Project, winner of an EvalPartners’ Innovation Challenge Award (http://www.mymande.org/evalpartners/innovation_challenge), will publish an international collection of evaluation stories to help evaluation users better understand how evaluation can be a force for positive change.

Reminder--Applied Research in Cancer Control Conference Abstract Submission Deadline

Canadian Centre for Applied Research in Cancer Control (ARCC) will be hosting Canada’s Applied Research in Cancer Control Conference on May 12, 2014 in Toronto.

We encourage individuals interested in presenting their work in health economics, services, policy and ethics to submit. Student travel awards are available for top-rated abstracts.

The abstract submission process is open until February 7, 2014.
